The idea of making a film about how a person meets themselves without traveling in time came to me back in 2008, when I hadn’t seen a single movie that explored this topic in any way.

Today, I remembered something I was contemplating about 20 years ago. Back then, everything seemed simple, but it took me a whole year of struggling to recall that simple truth I once shared with Aunt Nina, who’s 50 years older than me...

In the psyche of a "healthy" (integrated) individual, the Observer (compassionate, wise, adult) is the Primary personality, while subpersonalities are merely "social roles" we play - worker, spouse, child, parent, friend, - and so on. All these are healthy subpersonalities, and they all play by the Observer's rules.

Any choice made is always right. If you understand why, it becomes horribly simple and easy. Especially for those inclined to reflect on their past actions. Let me explain.

What does "freeing up space" mean? It's thinking in physical terms and applying that perception system to a sphere that's nonlinear and not three-dimensional.

Right now, of course, the universe has started accelerating dramatically: materialization happens, if not instantly, then with very little delay. And the formation of the future through current emotions has also sped up, though not as significantly. Previously, it would take me 3-4 weeks to stop experiencing the residual effects of a crisis; now, it takes one or two weeks.

Last night, unexpectedly, I watched a video of Eckhart Tolle, a fragment of one of his talks. A question from the audience was: "How can I come to terms with the fact that I'm aging, becoming ugly, and unnecessary?"

At the moment one reaches the center, the Self, the boundaries between subject and the world of Consciousness and the Conscious mind begin to blur. A thinning also occurs in the area of the unconscious. The more freedom within the Self, the greater the access to Consciousness (the clarity of one’s self as a phenomenon, including within the context of society), and the purer the information that comes from the Collective Unconscious (the informational field). In other words, the next step toward awareness is the Self emerging at the conscious level, where all the subpersonalities (archetypes) are contained within, and the Self itself stands outside, gradually dissolving into the surrounding world — into Existence.

I’ve long wanted to write about this film as a very interesting example of symbolism in cinema. And, in the context of the theme of cannibalism, I also want to discuss it as a classic portrayal of a cannibal. But I’d like to also introduce the idea of the significance of one’s self-perception.

There is no duality in Heaven. Earth was created specifically so that duality could be experienced.
