Sometimes you meet good, cheerful taxi drivers who, most importantly, are endowed with the wisdom of the ages.

This is the conversation I had recently:

– So, the Jews studied the women’s problem.
– Oh, what women’s problem? – I squeal joyfully, hoping to find out what this “women’s problem” is.
– Well, it’s why women are so flighty, always looking to the side.
Sound of jaw dropping to the floor
– Who? Women? Are you sure you’re not confusing them with men?
– No, it’s definitely women who are like that.
I collect the remains of my jaw, putting it back in place.
– And what did these Jews conclude?
– Here’s what they figured out! – the taxi driver starts getting excited. – In order to keep a woman near you, you need to follow three conditions. First – you need to love her, worship her, and support her.
– Are these all three?
– No, that’s just one!
– I think those three might be enough in many cases, though I’d be happy if just one of those three conditions were sometimes followed…
– But there are two more! – the taxi driver says, upset.
– Well!!!
– The second is – you need to satisfy her. If you have what it takes, great; if not, figure it out. She needs to be satisfied.
– Well, that’s clear… And that alone could often help the situation.
Damn, if only men did something… Well? At least this…
– And the third – you have to hit her! But only if you follow the first two conditions. Otherwise, what happens is – people only happily follow the third condition, and that’s why women are all over the place…

I was left deeply reflecting on the meaning of life.
