I am in a city on a cobblestone road. A cart is coming down the street. The cart has no horses, but it’s moving somehow. On the cart, there’s a chair wrapped in layers of blue foam from all sides. A young, short woman sits modestly on the chair, dressed in a simple business suit — a gray skirt, blouse, and jacket. A young man is driving the cart, and it’s very clear that none of the people involved are used to this odd setting, but they just need to keep going, not worrying about appearances.
The cart stops, and for a few seconds, no one moves. From the sidewalk, I remark with a smirk, gesturing with my hands in the air as though outlining the circle in which the strange cart is situated: “This whole situation is extremely ridiculous!” I say, which means something like “This is just an incredible joke!”
The passenger and the driver of the cart do not react to my comment, so I retreat, but suddenly I feel that my task is to accompany the businesswoman to her destination. Instantly, I am next to her, walking up the stairs.
The stairs are narrow, and several other people are walking with us. It’s some sort of emergency exit staircase, not really designed for walking in large groups, but there’s no other “entrance to this store” available.
The woman holds herself with great dignity, and in a brief conversation, I find out that she expected me to know who she was and what her name was. Suddenly, she slightly straightened her already straight back and, with a proud posture, said: “I am Karla Lipgart! I invented Synergy.”
(I inserted the word “Synergy” here because, upon waking, I couldn’t remember the name of the device Karla invented. It was something like Sinpster, Synergy, Synapse, Sinapster, or something like that. But the essence of the device was that it was implanted under the skin in the area of the left hand or wrist and glowed with white light. In the dream, its purpose was absolutely clear, but after waking up, that knowledge was lost in my consciousness.)
Suddenly, I remembered that I did indeed know about Karla and her invention. I told her that, of course, I knew the name but hadn’t recognized her in person. Karla mentioned that a feature film had recently been made about her and her invention. At that moment, I remembered that I had seen the film, and it was very beautiful, but the theme of the device wasn’t explored much. The film focused more on the dramatic aspects of Karla’s life, her success, and her tragedy. Meanwhile, I also remembered that after watching the film, I thought her invention could be applied in many other ways and could be successful, which I immediately told Karla, mentioning that I had seen the film (which was also called the same as her device, let’s call it Synergy), and that I had many ideas on how to develop her invention and make it even more successful.
But at that moment, the staircase we were climbing suddenly started descending. Automatically, Karla also started going down, but we needed to keep going up. I noticed that there was a new staircase a little to the side that continued upward, and I started shouting to Karla that she was going the wrong way, but at that moment, I woke up.
For a while, I tried to remember the exact name of the device and its purpose, “fitting” the tiny fragments of memories of this strange dream with different names and methods of application, but none of my guesses seemed right compared to how it was in my dream.
However, it didn’t matter anymore, as I came up with a new purpose for her invention and even thought I could write a science fiction novel about it, as the idea not only appealed to me but also illustrated one of the understandings of the world’s workings — those things that cannot be proven but are known to us on a sensory level, especially when we become sensitive to the vibrations of this world…
