A true discovery. A shock. I couldn’t have expected that modern Germans could make a film that would give me goosebumps and take my breath away. I’m hesitating how to precisely define the genre of this movie – a criminal-romantic drama. Very funny and, at the same time, very sad. Superb acting, excellent direction, perfectly selected music, and surprisingly subtle humor. The use of near-death themes is a very successful way to make the audience reflect on the meaning of life. Griffith achieved a graceful combination of light form and serious content.

A rare film that leaves a mixed feeling after watching – a sense of detachment, of returning from a beautiful flight to some wonderful country and some new knowledge – knowledge that is not passed on through context, but only through sensations.
