I remember once standing at a bus stop in twenty-degree frost, waiting for the bus. The bus was taking forever, and I was wearing thin autumn boots because my mom and I didn’t have money for winter boots. After about forty minutes to an hour, I realized I was starting to freeze. Not just getting cold, but actually freezing. I couldn’t feel my legs anymore, so I sat down on a bench at the stop and started to fall asleep.
And suddenly, out of nowhere, a man stood out from the crowd of people waiting for the bus—his face I don’t even remember… He ripped my boots off and began to rub my feet fiercely with his hands. How did he know I was freezing? How did he understand? And why did he even care? But he warmed me up, put my boots back on, and melted into the crowd. At that very moment, the bus arrived.
Angels come from people. I know that for sure.
